Kuldeep Yadav was furious at his Delhi Capitals teammate during Wednesday night’s IPL 2024 clash with Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Kuldeep Yadav lost his composure during Delhi Capitals’ impressive win over Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2024 clash held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Kuldeep was angry at his DC teammate Mukesh Kumar for his  unsuccessful attempt at a direct-hit that could have resulted in an overthrow.

The incident occurred on the fifth delivery of the eighth over, bowled by Kuldeep. GT batter Rahul Tewatia played it towards point before taking a couple of steps for a single.

However, Tewatia stepped back after spotting a fielder attacking the ball. He signaled his batting partner Abhinav Manohar, who was halfway down the track, to head back as well.

Mukesh, the fielder, picked up the ball and with his captain Rishabh Pant yelling ‘Maar (hit)’, he unleashed a a quick throw but towards the right of Kuldeep who was standing in front of the wickets and failed to collect it cleanly.

The attempt left him furious as he yelled, “Pagal vagal hai kya? (Are you mad?)”.

Mukesh defended himself with a smile. Later, Pant was seen calming down Kuldeep who seemed to have gotten over the incident as well.

Mukesh was the pick of the DC bowlers, finishing with bowling figures of 3/14 from 2.3 overs as GT were skittled for 89 in 17.3 overs. Ishant Sharma and Axar Patel took two wickets each while Axar Patel and Khaleel Ahmed chipped in with a wicket each.

DC were in a hurry to chase down the low score and ended up losing four wickets in the process. They overhauled the target in 8.5 overs for their third win of the season which saw then climb up to the sixth spot on the table.
