The SRH vs GT wash-out in Hyderabad has ensured that Sunrisers Hyderabad became the third team to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoff and now there’s only one spot remaining and the RCB vs CSK encounter on Saturday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium will decide which team makes it to the top 4. If they lose, they need to ensure the margin of defeat is narrow (less than 18 runs if RCB post 200 or not concede defeat before 18.1 overs if their target to defend is 200), to keep their net run rate above RCB’s. An RCB win will take Faf du Plessis’ side level on points with CSK and then the NRR will come into play.
