Find out about Apple’s new AI deal with OpenAI for iPhones – SUCH TV

With the global artificial intelligence race heating up with every passing day, reports have emerged that American giant Apple has entered into a contract with OpenAI to seek AI services, according to Bloomberg.

Apple is poised to release iOS 18 update, alongside further modernisation in new iPhones.

It is expected that Apple will announce this on the company’s developers event scheduled on June 10, 2024. The Cupertino-based giant is also seeking to incorporate another AI assistant, apart from Siri in its new software.

The iPhone maker is also in talks with Google to seek Gemini services as OpenAI’s ChatGPT alternative.

The report claimed that the two behemoths are in the process of reaching a major concord.

OpenAI’s deal with Apple is regarded as outside of Microsoft’s ambit, per the ChatGPT-maker’s staffer, calling CEO Sam Altman “a genius master-class strategist”.

The Microsoft-backed startup earlier this month released its new GPT model 4o equipped with audio and video versions, including real-time and an exclusive ChatGPT for Mac.

OpenAI further said that this exclusive launch was focused on Mac users.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella admitted that Google doesn’t play fair with Bing in search, indicating that the company was willing to join hands with Apple for up to $15 billion annually to attract a similar deal that to make Bing the default search engine on iPhones.

Microsoft CEO during the earning calls stated that Bing had surpassed 140 million daily active users, and attributed a huge percentage of the success to its AI advances.
