TV actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary’s personal life has been the talk of the town due to her rumored relationship with her co-actor Ankit Gupta ever since they worked together on the TV show Udaariyaan. However, none of them ever officially confirmed their relationship and have always admitted that they are just ‘Good friends’.
Both the actors are often seen celebrating festivals and attending parties together. Recently, Ankit’s new show Maati Se Bandhi Dor went on air and to mark the occasion, Priyanka and their friends celebrated this milestone making Ankit feel extra special.
An inside video from the celebration went viral on social media that depicted Ankit cutting a cake, while his friends and Priyanka standing next to him and singing a congratulatory song. As everyone clapped for him, he fed the first bite of the cake to Priyanka. TV actors Param Singh and Abhinav Kapoor could also be seen in the clip celebrating Ankit’s new show.
Talking about Maati Se Bandhi Dor, the show features Ankit as Ranvijay and actress Rutuja Bagwe as Vaijanti in the lead roles. It is set against the backdrop of Kolhapur, Maharashtra and revolves around the love story of Vaijanti, who lives in a village and Ranvijay, who is a modern guy belonging to a rich family. The show premieres on Star Plus.
While talking about his character in the show, Ankit said, “Just like Ranvijay, I am ambitious and a chaser for what I set my eyes on. Like Ranvijay I also have a huge regard and respect for my mother,” ETimes TV quoted.
Recently, several reports suggested that Ankit has been dating his Maati Se Bandhi Dor co-actress Rutuja. However, during a conversation with Telly Masala, Ankit denied the rumours by saying that he had just shot a promo with Rutuja and he didn’t even have her number. Well, that’s not all, he further said, “How can I be in a relationship with her (Rutuja) when I am already in a relationship.”
After this statement, the fans were convinced that Ankit accidentally confirmed his relationship with Priyanka. The duo also appeared on Salman Khan’s TV reality show Bigg Boss Season 16. During their time on the show, Priyanka often expressed her feelings for Ankit, but he always maintained they were just close friends.
