Vivek Oberoi sings praises of Pakistan’s love for Bollywood – SUCH TV
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi recently had an unexpected and heartwarming interaction with a Pakistani fan during an interview on the Indian talk show, Sunday Brunch.
In the video titled, Inside Vivek Oberoi’s Villa in Meadows, the actor was cruising through the streets of Dubai in a Bentley with interviewer Kamiya Jani, when fans waved from their car and shouted, “Love you Vivek, from Pakistan.”
Reflecting on the encounter just moments after, Vivek shared his thoughts on receiving love from across the border. “When you come to Dubai, you realise, no matter how strongly Indian you are, you come here and you see the way the Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Nepalis, Sri Lankans love you. You start to lose the sense of boundaries and that Bollywood villain which is on the other side of the border. It starts to feel like: does the hate exist?”
The actor who now lives in Dubai with his family, then agreed that the city often serves as a middle ground where Indians and Pakistanis can mingle without prejudice. “I mean it is quite controversial to say this, but the way they love our food, our culture, our films, the way they love us, they give us so much love and respect, where is the hate? I am sure there must be a few people who might be like that, but generally people love us,” the Omkara actor remarked.
Adding to the cross-border camaraderie, another recent moment caught everyone’s attention when singer Atif Aslam spotted the Saathiya actor enthusiastically dancing in the audience at his concert in Manchester. Atif pointed towards Vivek, inviting him to join in the fun. Vivek eagerly jumped up and moved closer to the stage, dancing energetically to the crowd’s delight. The audience erupted in cheers, witnessing the fantastic camaraderie between the two artists. Even Pakistani actor Saba Qamar stood up from her seat, clapping along with the thrilled fans. This spontaneous and joyous moment quickly went viral on social media, becoming one of the highlights of the evening.
