Haris Rauf has issued a stern response after a video went viral on social media where the Pakistan pacer was seen in a verbal confrontation with a fan after the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the West Indies.
Earlier today a video went viral on social media where the Pakistan international fast-bowler was seen confronting a fan after something he said triggered Rauf. In the video, the pacer was fuming asking the fan how he could hurl abuses at his father which is likely the trigger for the entire tussle to begin with.
The pacer had put up a short note on his official handle on X where he revealed,” I decided not to bring this up on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions”.
The Pakistan Cricket Team has been under the spotlight ever since they suffered a premature exit in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 where they were eliminated in the group stages. The side suffered defeats against their arch-rivals India along with the co-hosts USA which was arguably the biggest upset of the tournament which resulted in Pakistan’s exit.

The side was able to get wins against Canada and Ireland to end their disastrous campaign on a sweeter note. The return of veterans like Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir back from retirement was not enough for the Pakistan side to go all the way.
A lot of questions will be asked regarding the current team and their ability to get the job done. With also locker-room talks allegedly suggesting that the current team is not united, it is going to be a long and bumpy ride for Pakistan cricket if they are to get back at the top.
