19-year rule ended | President of Pakistan Olympic Association Arif Hasan has resigned | Geo Super

Lt Gen Retd Arif Hasan has resigned as the President of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA).

Arif Hasan has written in a letter to the members of the executive committee of the Pakistan Olympics Association that he is resigning as the President POA on January 1, 2024.

He further wrote that the decision was not easy but due to ill health, he could not continue the responsibility of heading such an important organization.

These days, Arif Hasan, who lives in America, confirmed his resignation when contacted by Geo News.

Arif Hassan became the President of Pakistan Olympic Association for the first time in 2004 and was elected to this position four more times.

After the resignation of Arif Hasan, the executive committee of POA will decide the president temporarily till the next elections
