Jon Woight gets candid about daughter’s marriage

Angelina Jolie’s father Jon Voight criticised Brad Pitt for making his daughter’s and grandchildren’s life miserable.

In conversation with Fox News Digital, the American actor has spoken in favour of Jolie as he asked the Fight Club actor to “end this nonsense,” seemingly hinting at the couple’s never-ending legal battles.

Voight stated, “I think the kids need some stability. I love the kids, and I love my daughter. And I want Brad to step up.”

Jolie’s dad revealed that he shared a close bond with the Salt actress and his grandkids.

Jolie and Pitt have been in conflict for years. Since their divorce in 2019, they have been fighting for the custody of their children.

They are also involved in a legal battle over their French winery. From physical abuse allegations to public altercations, they have been through it all during their messy divorce.

For the unversed, Jolie and Pitt, who were once known as the power couple of Hollywood, tied the knot in 2014 after a decade together.

The marriage lasted for two years and the actress filed for divorce in 2016 after a heated argument on a plane. This quarrel proved fatal for their 12-year relationship and the two separated their ways.

A source close to the Girl Interrupted actress claimed that she “wants peace” and the “ability to heal [her] family.”

It is important to note that the former couple’s daughters Shiloh, Vivienne and Zahara have allegedly removed their father Pitt’s name from their last names, implying that the kids side with their mother.

An insider close to the Fight Club actor informs that separation from his children “pains him,” which is probably the reason he continues to fight for their custody.
