Bo-Tai Turns 6, Brings Back The OG Menu. I Tried It And Loved It

Want to eat or party or do both in Delhi? Mehrauli is the perfect destination as it houses a range of restaurants and bars. But there are only a few I want to go back to again and again. Bo-Tai is one of them. Bo-Tai, specialising in Asian cuisine, offers the perfect blend of cosmopolitan Italian design with the vibrance of Thai hues. The name is a verbal pun on the formal attire – a ‘bow-tie’ representing both the style and flavour of upper-crust living. And now, Bo-Tai is celebrating its 6-year anniversary with an interesting campaign, “The OG Bo-Tai Turns 6.” To celebrate its successful running, the restaurant reintroduces its OG menu, showcasing a pioneering approach to its OG authentic Thai cuisine. You can once again indulge in beloved classics that we came to love.

Elevating the dining experience further is Bo-Tai’s innovative cocktail menu. Crafted by an international mixologist, each cocktail is thoughtfully curated to enhance the nuanced flavours of the dishes.

Since Bo-Tai is one of my favourites, I had to join in the celebrations and try the OG menu now that it’s back for a limited time. The atmosphere and vibe of Bo-Tai were still the same – high-energy yet chic and opulent. The upbeat music lifted up my spirits to indulge in a nice cocktail – and it had to be their Full Moon Festival. The cocktail was as sensational as it was pretty. Served in a large goblet representing a full moon, tt was decorated with flowers and I left joy with every sip. I also tried Picante – the tequila cocktail is my favourite, and Bo-Tai didn’t disappoint. I also highly recommend Cool Heart and Wednesday Day but Full Moon Festival is just not to be missed.

While my spirit was high because of the lovely cocktails, my stomach was craving some food. I had to have the ever-so-popular Preserved Raw Mango & Avocado Salad. It was refreshing, summery and oh-so delicious. Next, I had the Crispy Caramelized Prawns. True to its name, it was crispy, and the caramelized prawns were succulent and flavourful. Another must-try dish. But I found my favourite – Crispy Lotus Stem. The crunchy and delicious lotus stem was so good that I could not stop munching on it. Distended Chicken was an average not-bad dish but Grilled Chilean Sea Bass was mind-blowing. It was the perfect melange of flavours with well-cooked sea bass – pure delight!

From the mains, I picked Thai Green Curry with Jasmine Rice. Another good dish that’s on my recommended list now. The entire was so great but only a good dessert could make it perfect. – Coconut Creme Brulee was just what I needed to give it a sweet ending.

The Special OG menu is available till July 15, and no one should miss it.
