‘Elite’ star Julian Ortega dies after cardiac arrest on Spanish beach | The Express Tribune
Actor Julian Ortega, known for his role in the popular Netflix series ‘Elite’, has died suddenly after an incident on a beach in Spain.
The 41-year-old actor collapsed on Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain, around 5:30 pm on Sunday. The incident occurred in front of onlookers near the La Calima beach bar.
While initial reports suggested that Ortega had drowned, lifeguard services later confirmed that he suffered a cardiac arrest while on the shore. Despite paramedics’ efforts to revive him for 30 minutes, Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene.
The news of Ortega’s passing was confirmed by Spain’s national union of actors and actresses. Ortega gained recognition for his role as the manager of the restaurant ‘La Cabana’ on ‘Elite’ in 2018 and had credits in other notable Spanish language shows such as ‘4 estrellas’, ‘The Countryside’, ‘Untameable’, ‘Velvet’, ‘Nunc et in Hora’, and ‘Caronte’.
