Mishra told Shubhankar Mishra on the latter’s YouTube Podcast, “That is the one good thing about Gautam. Virat Kohli did not go and approach him, but Gautam did if you look back”.
The leg-spinner suggested that it was Gambhir who looked to bring the feud to an end and looked to cool things down and showed his maturity in that situation as opposed to Virat.
“He went and asked if the wife and kids were alright. Gautam finished it not not Virat. Gautam is the one who showed his maturity there, but he should have gone first, saying, Gauti bhai, let’s end it here,” he added.
The two have seemingly ended their differences when playing for their franchise and now will be together as Gambhir is set to begin his stint as the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team.
Gambhir’s role will begin as the Men in Blue will take part in the away series against Sri Lanka later in July. However, Virat Kohli’s availability remains uncertain with reports suggesting that Gambhir wants his senior players to take part in the 50-over series.
