The combination of these nakshatras is considered auspicious for beginning new pursuits or businesses. Any new venture launched at this time is expected to be successful. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be available throughout the day on Sunday, July 21.

According to Hindu mythology, Guru Purnima is related to the birth of a well-known sage, the son of Sage Parashar. This divine child is thought to have extensive knowledge of the past, present, and future (Bhoot Kaal, Vartamaan Kaal, and Bhiavishya Kaal). Recognising the importance of preserving and disseminating this spiritual and religious knowledge, he diligently edited the Vedas into four parts.

- Another story talks of Ved Vyasa’s birth, who on Guru Purnima shared the Vedic teachings with his four students.
- On this day, according to Buddhist legend, Buddha delivered his first sermon to his followers in Sarnath. Similarly, Jains commemorate Guru Purnima as the day Mahavira, a revered figure, attracted his first follower.

- Wake up early in the morning and touch your father, mother, and elder siblings’ feet to receive their blessings.
- After taking a bath, pray to Lord Surya.
- Recite the Guru Mantra.
- Worship Lord Ganesha as well, as he is the source of knowledge and wisdom.
- If you have a spiritual Guru, you must visit him to express your gratitude and receive blessings by touching his feet.
- On this auspicious day of Guru Purnima, provide garments, shoes, fruits, and dakshin.
