Through their expressive ability, artists can question conventional myths, shift imagery, and evoke emotions in ways that traditional political approaches rarely can. For instance, many artists act as vocal advocates for social causes in India. Thus, artists use their work to challenge societal norms and celebrate diversity.”

Furthermore, artists are skilled documentarians, capturing the struggle and victory of marginalised communities. Their ability to capture the human experience through various mediums allows for a deeper understanding and connection to social issues. By shedding light on underserved communities, artists can bring about awareness and inspire change on a larger scale.

For example, artists use their platform to speak out against social and political injustices, igniting crucial debates and inspiring public activism. This illustrates the tremendous influence that artists can have on influencing society and advancing a more just and equal global community,” shares Krishnan.
