The world No. 1 T20I team India will play under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav after Rohit Sharma’s retirement from T20Is last month, whereas Charith Asalanka will captain Sri Lanka in the series opener. The 27-year-old batting all-rounder was appointed as the new captain after Wanindu Hasaranga stepped down from his role last month.

India would like to come up with a big show in Pallekele on Saturday and get the better of Sri Lanka in the series opener to go 1-0 up.
