Jr NTR has revealed that he does not want to force his children to become actors. He said that he wants them to explore and discover their own path. The actor has two sons, Abhay and Bhargav.
Jr NTR is currently basking in the success of Devara: Part 1. The Koratala Siva directorial was his first solo release in six years and it performed well not just in the domestic market but also on the international level as well. In a recent interview, he was asked about what dreams he has for his children. The actor said that he wants his sons to discover their own path but they are inclined towards the same profession as him.
In a conversation with The Associated Press, Jr NTR opened up about his sons – Abhay and Bhargav. The actor said that he wants his children to make up their own minds and not impose his ideas on them. He said, “I just don’t want to rub it on them. I don’t want to. I definitely feel that kids today, really need to have a mind of their own. They need to be exposed to something where they can decide what they want to do. I don’t want to be a hurdle saying you know what, do this do that.”
In the same conversation, the actor said that his sons are quite different from each other but they are inclined towards acting. He added that he wants them to decide for themselves as his parents did the same for him. He said, “I have two boys coming out from the same mother’s womb but they are completely different. They are opposites. I mean, how the hell does that happen? That’s nature. I don’t want to put in any thoughts saying, ‘You know what, you have to be in arts, you have to do this’ because my father and mother didn’t do that to me. They just let me explore, so I just want to do the same thing. I don’t want to force anything on them.”
Jr NTR continued, “They are exposed to my profession always. And I think this exposure is never going to leave them. They obviously want to become an actor one day because they are seeing an actor father. Whenever they see him on screen, they always want to be an actor.”
The actor married Lakshmi Pranathi in 2011. They have two sons together – Abhay and Bhargav. Their kids are ten and six years old respectively.
