Kate Middleton, Prince William face fresh blow as Harry, Meghan shine

Prince William and Kate Middleton suffered a major setback after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won a contest against the active working royal couple.

Monarchist Garry Toffoli, the Executive Director of the Canadian Royal Heritage Trust, claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are more loved by the public than the Prince and Princess of Wales, as reported by The Express.

He said that Harry and Meghan “have maintained a closer connection to Canada” than they have with the future King and Queen of England.

“Canadians remember that the problems regarding the Sussexes began when the Palace (wrongly, I believe) prevented them from living in Canada with royal security and carrying out part-time royal duties,” Garry shared.

It is important to note that Harry and Meghan left the royal family in 2020 and initially the couple resided in Canada. However, the two moved to the US in March 2020.

The author revealed, “The overwhelming majority of Canadians supported the Sussexes’ plans at the time. In one poll in early 2020 over 60 per cent wanted Prince Harry to become the next Governor General of Canada.”

Notably, these comments came after Harry and Meghan made it to the headlines due to their reported recent successful tours to Nigeria and Colombia.

Several royal fans claimed that the Montecito pair outshine William and Kate amid the royal health woes.
