PM Shehbaz conveys condolences to Ayatollah Khamenei on Iranian president’s death – SUCH TV
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, expressing his heartfelt condolences on the passing of the Iranian President and his comrades.
The meeting marked a gesture of solidarity and respect between the two nations, as PM Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his sympathies on behalf of the Pakistani government and people.
This encounter highlights the strong bond between Pakistan and Iran, showcasing their commitment to fostering bilateral ties.
Earlier, PM Shehbaz participated in the commemoration ceremony for the late Iranian President and his comrades.
During the ceremony, he also visited the condolence hall where the body of the late Iranian President was kept. He paid tribute to the services of the deceased leader, highlighting his contributions to Iran and his deep friendship with Pakistan.
Expressing heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Pakistani government and its people, the prime minister conveyed his sympathies to Dr. Mohammad Mokhber, the acting President of Iran.
He emphasized the profound shock and sorrow felt across Pakistan upon hearing the tragic news of the president’s martyrdom.
“We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved people of Iran in this hour of sorrow and grief,” PM Sharif said. “All our sympathies are with the families of the martyrs and the Iranian people. The entire Pakistani nation stands with Iran in this hour of difficulty.”
He remembered the late Iranian president as a great friend of Pakistan and recalled the memorable moments spent with the Pakistani people during the president’s visit to Pakistan last month, noting that these moments would always be cherished.
The premier extended his best wishes to Dr. Mohammad Mokhber, the Caretaker President of Iran, acknowledging his leadership during this difficult time.
The visit was also attended by several high-ranking Pakistani officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
