Prince Harry’s beloved uncle shares sad news
Charles Spencer, who attended Prince Harry’s London event in May despite King Charles, Prince William and other members of the royal family’s reluctance to grace the Service, has shared a tragic news about losing his beloved companion.
Turning to his Instagram on Saturday, Prince William and Harry’s uncle shared a picture of a wonderful Labrador with a message.
Princess Diana’s brother wrote: “Farewell to Otis, our wonderful Labrado, who had to be put to sleep last night. He was nearly 13.”
He added: “Otis will now join his father, Karoo, and grandmother, Ella, in a beautiful spot in the Park at @althorphouse.
“Everyone at Althorp loved Otis – several people here have talked today of his having been a “total legend”. The place won’t be the same, without his wise, sweet, intelligent presence. He was extremely special.”
The closeness between Harry and his uncle was obvious as Earl Spencer and his sister Lady Jane Fellowes attended Harry’s Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral in may in a show of support for their nephew even though King Charles, Prince William did not grace the event due to their busy diary.
